About This Recruitment
NIC was established in 1976 and is the prime e-Governance technology partner of the Government of India. It builds and maintains digital infrastructure for government services at the Centre, State, District, and Block levels across India.
Scientist-B is a direct recruitment post at the entry level of NIC’s technical cadre. 🔍 Selection Process
Selection will be done in two stages:
Stage 1 — GATE Score Based Shortlisting
- Candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5 (5 candidates per vacancy) based on discipline-wise and category-wise GATE merit list.
- If multiple candidates have the same GATE score at the cutoff, all will be called for interview.
- Equal weightage will be given to GATE 2024, 2025, and 2026 scores.
Stage 2 — Personal Interaction / Interview (50 marks) The interview will assess:
- Technical / Academic Knowledge
- Presentation / Communication Skills / Comprehension
- Academic Performance (0.05 marks per percentage in essential qualification degree)
Minimum qualifying marks in interview:
- UR Category: 50%
- EWS / OBC / SC / ST / PwBD: 40%
