Selection Process
- Written Examination: Conducted only when applicants exceed 3 times the advertised vacancies for a post. No written test if applications received are fewer than vacancies. Executive Director, AIIMS Bhubaneswar has discretion to decide this for each post — decision is final.
- Interview: Personal interview for all candidates (or combined written test + interview marks for merit).
- Merit List: Prepared for all categories (UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST) based on combined marks of written test + interview, or interview alone.
- Waiting List: Maintained; vacancies arising from non-joining or resignations are filled from the waiting list.
- Performance Review: After initial 1 year, a committee reviews performance. Extension beyond 1 year or to 2nd year is based on committee recommendations. Unsatisfactory performance = no further extension.
